We’re looking for an Office Manager to join our mission and team.

In this central role, you will support the heart of our operations and help enable the work of others across the company. You’ll be an essential part of our daily rhythm—and naturally, a warmly welcomed member of our team.

PlanBlue is on a mission to harness the critical role of the seafloor in addressing global challenges such as climate change, biodiversity loss, and food insecurity. Its cutting-edge technology integrates advanced imaging with AI-driven data processing, delivering automated seafloor intelligence that uncovers the seafloor’s true ecological and economic value at scale and at speed. Over the last seven years, we have built a dynamic, diverse team of engineers, business developers, data scientists, and marine experts, bringing together a mix of skills and expertise necessary to achieve our mission.

As we continue our growth, we are looking for an experienced Office manager to join our business team. In this role, you will be the warm & friendly first point of contact for anything related to the office within PlanBlue. HB1 [

What you'll be doing  

  • Organize and manage the office space, incl. office hardware and inventory, stationary equipment, consumables such as drinks and snacks, and the general office greenery,

  • Coordinate and processing incoming deliveries, outgoing shipments and the general company correspondence (via telephone, mail and e-mail),

  • Book business trips for team members,

  • Plan, organize and coordinate company team events,

  • Oversee the health, safety, and well-being of the team in the office, also by being a point of contact for office- and company-related questions and requests.

  • Assist in maintaining and verifying the accuracy of the accounting software and systems data,

  • Support the annual financial audit activities and inquiries,

  • Oversee the company’s daily financial transactions, incl. preparing the monthly accounting documents for the external tax consultant and accounting firm, transferring the salary payments and supporting the company’s liquidity planning,

  • Manage the company’s credit card program,

  • Manage orders and purchases, setting up and managing software licenses.

What you will bring

  • A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in office management or finance; or at least 3 years of experience in project management; or a completed vocational education (e.g. certified tax advisor) combined with 3 years of relevant work experience.

  • Strong organizational & time management skills and high attention to details.

  • Fluency in both English and German.
