We are combining underwater hyperspectral imaging and AI-based automated data processing to map the seafloor quicker, more efficiently and in greater detail. By ground-truthing aerial and satellite imagery, we help to unlock blue nature-based solutions around the globe and contribute to revealing the seafloor’s true economic and ecological value.
Over the past couple of years, our engineering team has steadily grown to 10+ people. Since we do both hardware and software, we have a wide range of specialities for a relatively small team ranging from mechanical design to electronics and software.
As our geospatial product owner you will be responsible for defining and prioritizing the data sets our customers need, using your extensive experience from the geospatial industry & work as a product owner. You will work closely with our commercial team and provide direct input for our engineering teams. Your main task will be to fuse research insights, business goals and technical requirements into a data product roadmap for existing and future data products.
Interacting with customers early on and provide key insights to our commercial team from your experience in the geospatial industry.
Specifying our data products and their roadmap considering the value for our users and our business goals.
Representing our customers internally towards Engineering and the rest of the company
Being responsible for the prioritization of development of the data products in line with the roadmap. All based on essential stakeholder information you own.
Writing user stories based on user research insights & breaking them down to feed into the engineering teams.
5+ years of experience working as product owner or product manager within the geospatial industry
Ability to lead through and create progress when things aren’t clear or profoundly change within a short amount of time.
A solid toolkit and methods that help you along the path from problem to a solution delivered and adopted (prioritization, slicing and aligning scope, planning and estimation etc.)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
Identifying with planblue's mission and having an affinity for the ocean.
A salary between € 47k and € 60k
